Produced by Ceasar Medina Maldonado. Within this vineyard, there are a number of variations in topography that are expressed articulately by the vines; the Bellpine Ridge is chief amongst them, named for its soils. Here, facing the mountains to the West, the vines must endure the cold breezes that trickle down off of the mountains, carried by the adjacent creek which feeds into the valley below from their heights. This combination of sun and breeze, along with its miserly yields, define the wine. The vines have made this place their home since 1988. This wine was aged for 10 months in 25% new French oak before bottling without fining or filtration.
